<P>Okay, I'll play.&nbsp; I think warnings are appropriate for food items. If you're going to profit from the public's willingness to eat crap, then I think you should warn them that they're about to buy/eat crap.&nbsp; After that they're on their own.</P>
<P>Smoking in restaurants:&nbsp; I think there's a sufficient public health interest for non-smokers who suffer from second-hand smoke for the government to legislate in this area.&nbsp;(I will say that&nbsp;I thought California was silly for banning smoking in bars.)&nbsp; </P>
<P>Now your turn:&nbsp; what about our current drug policies?&nbsp; Is it time to give up on the War on Drugs?&nbsp; Allow people to make their own decisions on what they want to ingest/inject?<BR><BR>Sunil</P></DIV>

<DIV></DIV>&gt;Sunil,
<DIV></DIV>&gt;
<DIV></DIV>&gt;Now we're onto something!
<DIV></DIV>&gt;
<DIV></DIV>&gt;Do you think that the State should legislate MacDonald's French Fries,
<DIV></DIV>&gt;Nabisco Oreos, or tobacco smoking in dining institutions? Or should this be
<DIV></DIV>&gt;left up to the self-government and responsibility of the individual?
<DIV></DIV>&gt;
<DIV></DIV>&gt;Best,
<DIV></DIV>&gt;Dale

<DIV></DIV>&gt;Dale,
<DIV></DIV>&gt;
<DIV></DIV>&gt;I was going to respond to your post. However, well into the seventeenth
<DIV></DIV>&gt;paragraph I was gripped by a fear that someone else might respond by asking,
<DIV></DIV>&gt;generally, if anyone cared, if anyone gave a <WHATEVER>.
<DIV></DIV>&gt;
<DIV></DIV>&gt;It was then that something in your post hit home, shone like a bright light,
<DIV></DIV>&gt;and I realized how much I wanted to eat some Oreos, so I'm just going to get
<DIV></DIV>&gt;some of those and eat them and coat my arteries with trans fats.
<DIV></DIV>&gt;
<DIV></DIV>&gt;We'll all be better off that way, don't you think?
<DIV></DIV>&gt;
