Pulling up a similarly configured machine on IBM's website, I get a price of
$2114.  This is without the additional costs of the loaner program and theft
and accidental damage insurance, so you can see that the students are
getting a good deal.  Also, I'd say that the college is covering the
financing of the machines as the students have two years to pay for it.

Dear Visionaries,
Thanks for the info on computers.  I am still wondering if the College of
Business and not the Bookstore is the vendor. What percentage of the
$2000.00 stays in the College of Business as their profit for "handling
expenses"? This is clearly a powerful laptop - I suspect there must also be
some powerful department perks that go along with it....once again at the
expense of the student.
