1. Approval of Minutes of April 21, 2003 - Chris Bainbridge
2. Approval of Minutes of May 5, 2003 - Chris Bainbridge
3. 2000 Uniform Fire Code - Don Strong
Changes to the City ordinance are necessary to adopt the 2000
International Fire Code for the city of Moscow. This will bring us in
compliance with the State, which previously adopted the 2000 International
Fire Code.
ACTION: Recommend considering the ordinance on first reading; or
recommend approval of the Ordinance under suspension of the rules requiring
three complete and separate readings, that it be read by title only, and
that the Mayor's signature be authorized; or take such other action deemed
appropriate.
4. Bid Results for Fire Station #3 - Randy Rice
Bids were opened on April 23, 2003 for the fire station #3 project.
Eleven bids were received and are shown on the attached bid recap form.
Staff recommends that the apparent low bids submitted by T.W. Clark and
CAMCO construction be rejected as non-responsive and the third low bid
submitted by Ormond Builders be accepted.
ACTION: Recommend rejection of the apparent low bids by T.W.
Clark and CAMCO construction as non-responsive and accept the third low bid
from Ormond Builders.
5. Jefferson/McKinley Traffic Control Request - Dean Weyen
Several residents of the 600 block of North Jefferson are
requesting that all southbound traffic on Jefferson from McKinley to Morton
be prohibited. Council approved the Parkview Estates Addition with a
specific requirement that southbound traffic on the new Jefferson north of
McKinley could not continue south from McKinley to Morton on Jefferson;
however, eastbound traffic on McKinley could turn south on Jefferson which
is what is happening now that developed has occurred. Staff recommends
denial of the request as outlined in the May 12, 2003 staff report.
ACTION: Recommend denial, approval, or modification of the request; or
take such other action deemed appropriate.
