Yes, Mr. Merrill -

What is defined as "military aid" can also be construed to be "colonialism".  
But, to paraphrase Secretary Colin Powell:  "The only land we ever asked for 
was sufficient land to bury the troops that do not return."  

If we were truly seeking world dominance, as you suggest, the French language 
would be limited to the Benelux countries as a result of D-Day and we would not 
be having this debate now would we?
