John Harrell wonders if any of us at the anti-war rally will be carrying =
signs urging soldiers to shoot their officers.

I have attended the Friendship Square candlelight vigils, the overnight p=
rayer vigil sponsored by Sleepless Women/Code Pink, and two rallies in Mo=
scow. They have all been peaceful events, and I've never seen anyone car=
rying anything that advocated violence.

"Effeminate orgy of riots"? This is Moscow, John. While I don't know wh=
at passes in your book as an orgy, or indeed as effeminate, the six to te=
n of us, men and women, who spent the night in silent prayer in the Metho=
dist Church were about as orderly and quiet a bunch as anyone could hope =
to see. We don't get up to much in Friendship Square, either--a small gr=
oup of people holding candles, making a witness for peace.

Tell you what, John. Why not join us? Then you can see for yourself.
