I did a search of news sources on Lexis-Nexis to see if any banning had been
reported. Nothing but stories about how his career had gotten a big boost.

I heard this on the news on the radio while driving; I'll see if I can
track down the validity of it.
I'm sure that it wasn't banned by any cities. I think that it was some
station managers that had banned their DJ's from playing it.
I'm not saying that's bad -- since these stations are mostly privately
owned institutions, and they should be able to play whatever they would
like.
