But remember... this is a detention hearing. In plain language, they are
arguing whether Sami should be detained until his ACTUAL trial starts in
April, or whether he should be released. Of COURSE they are not going to
go into high detail about what exact info was found when and where and on
which sector of his computer. That is not the point of this hearing.
Rather, they are trying to argue that he is either a menace to society or
not.
So why the skeptics? I am suspecting they didn't just pull some Joe Schmoe
FBI agent that doesn't even know how to 'cc' his mother on his annual
Christmas email. And, for those arguing about multiple browsers and
multiple cache files... it's not like Sami was an opera major, (Please...
I am not profiling the computer skills of opera majors) one would think he
would have a few 'getting a ph.d. in computer science' skills. Which leads
to an interesting question of why he left the stuff on there... but then
lots of guilty people catalog their every crime, every victim. Who knows?
Another item of interest to me is the info about his Uncle Saleh, who had
sent him $100,000 and then later stayed in the same motel the Vernon,
Virginia that the Flight 77 hijackers (Pentagon flight) in the days before
the 9/11 attacks. Maybe it was an Amway convention. I think not.
but enough armchair quarterbacking or desk chair magistrating...
