[Vision2020] Ike and the Rose Bowl

I agree with Mr. Westberg. Knowledge in sports is commonly attained as a
result of an interest in sports. Knowledge in history and biography is
commonly attained as a result of education. The two are not mutually
exclusive. Kinda kills the image of the big, dumb jock (as well as the
nerdy bookworm), huh Don?

If Ike were alive today, I bet Kate Sommersby would have driven him to the
really, really old ex-president's sports bar and he would have watched the
Rose Bowl yesterday with Steven Ambrose, and between plays he and Ambrose
could talk baseball, with Ambrose advising Ike about stealing bases.
Lighten up, Don. It's possible to enjoy watching and discussing sports and
be conversant in history and biography.
