[Vision2020] The Rose Bowl...

This topic ("Why didn't the Rose Bowl have a sellout crowd?) was addressed
last night on Sports Center. They came to the conclusion (and I agree) that
people are too used to the PAC-10 champion playing the Big Ten champion at
the Rose Bowl. This didn't happen, so the crowd wasn't there. I seriously
believe that if Iowa played WSU at the Rose Bowl (inspite of a potentially
high scoring blow out by Iowa), tickets would have been tougher to get than
the Apple Cup.

What I found most interesting about the Rose Bowl was the information in
the Lewiston Tribune that the bowl had very low attendance, and that
thousands of WSU tickets remained unsold.
Why--if 5 years ago the WSU tickets all sold and many at inflated
prices--did WSU not sell out this time?
