Congratulations to the Washington State men's basketball
team for its first conference victory of the year. The Cougs
beat Oregon State last night, and the score was--

I'm reading about the game in the Lewiston Morning Trib and
I guess there wasn't a score. The story reveals that the
Cougs defeated Fresno State 69-66 on Dec. 23 and lost to
Oregon State a month ago, 63-48, and to Oregon just
Thursday, 89-70, but there's no score for last night's game.

Last night's score didn't even make it into the Trib's
"Scoreboard" summary of all scores from across the nation.
But you could weasel it out of what used to be called the
box score, if you can read small type. It was 75-71.

WSU coach Paul Graham deserves credit for hanging in there
with a program that lost most of its starters, at one time
or another, through injuries.
