Banning books. Well now, some books might indeed be judiciously kept off
some elementary school bookshelves ('Candy', 'The Bible', etc.) but 'The
Chocolate Wars' ?????!!!. Anybody tell me what is in 'The Chocolate Wars'
that is offensive? Does it promulgate bad eating habits? Does it summon
oblique associations to dark skin coloration, God forbid? Is it published by
Bantam Books or Dell Comics?

(I admit, I have not read 'The Chocolate Wars', though I did manage to
struggle through Steven King's 'The Stand').
