<P>Are tickets for the Powell Lovefest 2003 sold out yet? </P>
<P>Here's an alternative view of his speech from a couple of weeks ago:</P>
<P><A href="http://www.creators.com/opinion_show.cfm?columnsName=aco">http://www.creators.com/opinion_show.cfm?columnsName=aco</A><BR>or this one:</P>

<P>I do think he is continuing to be a good soldier, serving the Commander in Chief, and since that's what he's been for his whole career, we shouldn't expect anything less. However, he's seen by many as the voice of reason in the Bush Administration, and I think it's time to admit he is no longer playing that role. </P>

<DIV></DIV>>While I would have certainly voted for Gen. Powell during the 2000
<DIV></DIV>>elections, I must honestly say that is no longer the case. He has shown
<DIV></DIV>>himself to be loyal to his CinC and to the party. He is a good soldier
<DIV></DIV>>and, having received his marching orders, is doing his best to carry
<DIV></DIV>>them out.
<DIV></DIV>>
<DIV></DIV>>However, what we need is someone who can think for themselves, and is
<DIV></DIV>>not afraid to stand against other opinions. In my poor opinion, Colin
<DIV></DIV>>Powell certainly knows the current administration is wrong in the
<DIV></DIV>>approach to Iraq, and he should be standing against, not supporting,
<DIV></DIV>>GW's idiotic policies.
