Greeetings Visionaires -

To me, it is not a matter of whether or not Saddam should be eliminated or
if Iraq should be deprived of weapons of mass destruction. Saddam should be
eliminated and his weapons of mass destruction should be destroyed.

What I disagree with is the manner in which George W is dealing with this.
Currently he is pursuing another ruling by the UN Security Council that
would allow him to respond militarily to what he considers a major violation
by Iraq. He is seeking this ruling in spite of his earlier comments that
the US would "go it alone" if necessary. Another possible reason for George
W to seek UN approval is England's Prime Minister Tony Blair's approval
rating has dropped to 30% within his own country. If George W decides that
the US will "go it alone", it may satisfy a "First Strike" concept, but the
US comes out of it looking like the big bully (much like the Soviet Union
during the Cold War). George W needs approval from 9 of the 15 countries
currently sitting on the Security Council. He has three.

What I understand form watching the Today Show this morning is that the UN
Security Council may present its final decision concerning Iraq on or about
March 14th. The next three weeks should prove most interesting.

Take care,
