A couple of years ago during Rendezvous in the Park, one of the singers =
of
Uppity Blues Women commented to those in attendance that Moscow's =
Rendezvous
in the Park was the first place in her career where beer was not =
available.
A few days later City Council commented that they were considering
permitting sale of beer at Rendezvous. Is this a continuation of the
consideration or is it simply being reconsidered? I believe that beer
should be available for such events.

Now that the "liquor liability" thread has woven its way back to a
three-pete of the public v. private schools issue, I've changed the =
subject
line above to ask a question relevant to the liquor issue previously
discussed. Do you think city council should approve the sale of beer =
and
wine at either Ren Fair or Rendezvous or both by a licensed liquor =
caterer,
and if so, would you request any restrictions greater than those =
required by
state law as previously presented on this list?=20
[to those who would simply like to say "yes" or "no," I'll be happy to
collect your vote off list and report totals later]=20

But essentially you're taking the position that because you don't want =
the
state to establish and fund public schools, the state should stop.=0E =
Since
the Idaho Constitution calls for the establishment and funding of such
schools, the state is acting within its lawful authority in doing =
so.=0E=20
Would I be correct in saying that you would like to amend the Idaho
Constitution to bar such action on the part of the state?=0E At least =
from K
through 12?=20
