Do you understand scholarships? I can start a scholarship by creating =
a scholarship fund and requiring that the recipient of the scholarship =
have sandy blonde hair, IQ must be evenly divisible by 3, and must be =
able to hop on one foot while singing "Put Another Candle on My Birthday =
Cake" backwards.

Certainly the quantity of scholarships of those 21 students is =
impressive. What would be more impressive would be the requirements to =
receive those scholarships.

  Jus a thought,

  Tom Hansen

Tom, I'm really surprised at this comment. I wouldn't expect you to =
stoop so low and bury your head in the sand like this.

Logos has a reputation for not only turning out godly children but =
also high academic achievers. And these achievements are known both =
locally as well as around the nation. In fact, Logos has such a =
reputation that it's is being modeled even in countries overseas.

For example, last year we had 21 kids graduate from Logos. Here are =
some of the scholarships (which you won't read about in the Daily News): =

      a.. Washington & Lee - W & L Grant=20
      b.. Washington & Lee - National Merit Scholarship=20
      c.. Georgia Tech - GT Grant, non-resident=20
      d.. Georgia Tech - Dukin Ferris Sch=20
      e.. Georgia Tech - James Finley Sch=20
      f.. Georgia Tech - J & E Stucklaw Sch=20
      g.. Georgia Tech - Sidney Goldin Sch=20
      h.. Washington U. - Gustav Rust Mesner Sch.=20
      i.. Washington U. - Deans Honorary Sch.=20
      j.. Oklahoma Univ. - Nat. Merit Sch=20
      k.. WSU - Cougar Academic Award=20
      l.. WSU - WSU Achievement Award=20
m.. WSU - WSU Scholar in Residence Award=20
      n.. Azuza Pacific - Dean's Scholarship=20
      o.. Pell Grant=20
      p.. Whitman College - William O. Douglas scholarship=20
      q.. Whitman College - Whitman Grant=20
      r.. Idaho Promise Scholarship=20
      s.. Idaho Presidential Scholarship=20
      t.. Presidential Leadership Scholarship=20
      u.. Hogue Family Centenial Civil=20
      v.. Idaho Academic Scholarship=20
      w.. Access Grant=20
      x.. Ziegler Education Foundation=20
      y.. Idaho Academic Scholarship=20
      z.. Presidential Achievement Scholarship
Not bad for 21 kids from average income families in the back-woods =
of Idaho being taught by teachers without an education degree!

Think what they could do if instead of spending <$3,000 per kid they =
got those $6,000 per kid that MST gets!

But there's an old expression: "My mind is made up. Don't confuse me =
with the facts!"=20
