<P>Are the people spending $4 billion a month on the war in Iraq leftists or liberals? Is it possible that there are people wearing other labels that are busy increasing our national deficit?</P>

<DIV></DIV>>Phil,
<DIV></DIV>>
<DIV></DIV>>As for TANSTAAFL -- there's too much to say. First, the leftists want to
<DIV></DIV>>continue to increase the taxation burden that our children will bear. They
<DIV></DIV>>simultaneously ignore that there is a decreasing population base to support
<DIV></DIV>>those taxes.
<DIV></DIV>>
<DIV></DIV>>Here is the tax burden on our children just for Social Security:
<DIV></DIV>>
<DIV></DIV>>SSA Workers per Beneficiary
<DIV></DIV>>
<DIV></DIV>>As you can see, we currently have ~3.3 workers supporting every SSA
<DIV></DIV>>beneficiary.
<DIV></DIV>>
<DIV></DIV>>Because of the decreasing birth rate in the USA, the increasing life
<DIV></DIV>>expectancy, and the large number of Baby Boomers who are retiring, we will
<DIV></DIV>>be to the point where over 50% of our kids' pay will go to support just SSA
<DIV></DIV>>benefits by ~2045.
<DIV></DIV>>
<DIV></DIV>>No, there ain't no such thing as a free lunch -- just shifting the cost onto
<DIV></DIV>>someone else.
<DIV></DIV>>
<DIV></DIV>>The liberals have only a couple choices -- start having more children (will
<DIV></DIV>>never happen), cut benefits (doubtful), live with an 85% tax burden, or
<DIV></DIV>>privatize Social Security.
<DIV></DIV>>
<DIV></DIV>>I'd like to see some out-of-the-box thinking from the Left on this one.
<DIV></DIV>>
<DIV></DIV>>Best,
<DIV></DIV>>Dale

<DIV></DIV>>Dale,
<DIV></DIV>>
<DIV></DIV>>This information that you got is that taking into account "property
<DIV></DIV>>taxes"???? Or is it just personal income tax, sales tax, vehicle tax, gas
<DIV></DIV>>tax, utility tax, etc. If so - do they have it for Washington, Nevada,
<DIV></DIV>>Montana and Utah. This would be of interest to me. So you can see that we
<DIV></DIV>>are being over taxed per citizen by over 16%.
<DIV></DIV>>
<DIV></DIV>>Dale - the problem with most of these people that believe they can tax
<DIV></DIV>>themselves into prosperity is they truly believe it works. All of them that
<DIV></DIV>>think like this are on the "free lunch" program. Guaranteed jobs, guaranteed
<DIV></DIV>>retirement, guaranteed medical. all at the expense of society. Takes an IQ
<DIV></DIV>>of 2 to see this. Not a PHD.
