I almost choked on my drink (water!) when I read:

"behind the urban areas in Power ... County"

Whuh? I am from the incredibly RURAL area of Power County (Arbon Valley,
population 627, including friendly livestock) and know that the
only 'urban area' of Power County is the thriving metropolis of American
Falls, population 4,111). I am thinking perhaps their taxes are higher
because they just funded a new high school in the city. Not sure about
Bannock county, but perhaps they also recently just voted to raise taxes
for some project or the other. So I am not quite sure what your point is
other than you think latah pays too much and then generalize that it is
because we must be paying too much for govt schools? Or what? I'm
confused.
