Greetings Visionaires -

I came across a very fascinating editorial in today's Spokesman-Review, the
Hot Potatoes section (written by D. F. Oliveria.

"Hot Potatoes can't figure out Christ Church down Moscow way. Is Pastor
Doug Wilson misunderstood re: his stand on slavery? Or clueless? On one
hand, The Rev's co-authored a book that sez slavery in the Old South was
based on "mutual affection and confidence." On the other hand, he sez that
slavery was wrong. Hot Potatoes would add several adjectives to the second
conclusion. American slavery was despicable. Dishonorable. A stain on
this country. That some slaves endured by kissing the hands of their
masters is understandable. But that doesn't mean they didn't yearn for
freedom. Guess we'll have to read the book to see how Pastor Doug arrived
at his loopy first conclusion."

And it's not even Monday yet.

Take care, Visionares.
