You would be correct, if Doug were representing Doug. But Doug keeps
pointing at the Bible. He keeps saying, "God says...." He keeps pointing out
that Christ is God and that Jesus died for the sins of his people. He keeps
pointing out that Christ invites everyone to come and be his people. Doug
never has said come to Christ Church (though since he is the pastor there,
he would probably think that would be a good place to go). He has said, go
to a Christian church where the Bible is read and obeyed, and worship
Christ. The folks on Vision 2020 who are upset with Doug, are not because he
is Doug, but because he keeps saying, God is God and we are not.

The Bible tells us the Israelites grumbled against Moses for taking them out
of Egypt and leading them around in the desert. God told him it wasn't
really Moses the people were upset with, he just happened to be the one they
could see, they were really upset with God. The people who are upset with
Doug are not really upset with Doug (the messenger) they are upset with
Christ.

That is Christophobic, not Doug-o-matic, or whatever you said (I get that
Ronco thing mixed up all the time too).

I was about to preface this by saying that I hate to quibble, but that would

be a big fat hairy lie.  I love to quibble.  I'll quibble with a signpost.  
I quibble in my sleep.  Therefore . . .

This analogy only works, Mike, if Doug himself is Christ.  Dougophobic is 
the word you're looking for, or perhaps ChristChurchophobic.  (Though the 
latter, for some reason, puts me in mind of ChristChurchomatic.  Who makes 
that, Ronco?)
