Hi Janesta,

I made the choice to continue to buy my medications locally. I'm willing
to pay more for the extra security and service (in addition several of
my more expensive medications cannot be ordered through Wahlgreens).
I've trusted Jennifer, Mike, Pam and Wayne for many years and they have
helped me out of a wide range of difficult situations that I have
encountered while traveling. I remember being stuck in Newfoundland and
having to get refills of medications that were not available in the
Maritimes. I can't imagine doing that through mail-order.

And in this day and age where the family doctor has a full dance card,
having access to qualified pharmacists to answer difficult questions
regarding medications is incredibly helpful.

Deductible? I don't have our plan in front of me, but I think it is $100
per person and a 20% co-pay (max $50/prescription per month). There is
no cap on out-of-pocket drug expenses. The drug deductible is completely
independent of any other medical benefits.

You gave good advice regarding mail-order. This is true no matter where
you get your meds, but when you don't know who is filling the bottle,
you should be prepared to take more of the responsibility yourself.
