[Vision2020] Re: Hope for Healing? Well, not exactly.

It seems that homosexuals have been a small minority for many centuries 
in all kinds of societies. Every time a priest, preacher, politician, 
or dictator needs a few ready scapegoats to inflame the public one of 
the first groups they pick on are the homosexuals. Ancient Hebrew 
priests hurled alleged divine condemnation on them in their writings. 
Christians and Muslims followed suit in their holy books. Dictators 
like Adolf Hitler and Josef Stalin also found it convenient to 
persecute them. Fidel Castro persecutes them today. It is for the same 
reason that certain people who claim to be better than the rest of us 
like to harass them in our society. Can't they mind their own business? 
They are no more likely to "convert" or "heal" gays than threats of 
burning alive or being thrown into concentration camps worked as a 
"deterrent" in times past. A small percentage of people are homosexual 
by nature and that is that. Using them as scapegoats is just plain 
cruel.
