Jon:

Thanks for the alert and the request for questions. I have not kept up
to date on the issue, and do have some questions I would like answered.

1) Can someone provide a specific and detailed explanation of the
connection between Naylor Farm operation and the clay mining operation?

2) Is there a detailed explanation for what the water will be used for,
and where the market for produce is, and how this operation will be
profitable?

3) Assuming a surface irrigation project, what will become of excess
water? Is it to be dumped? Sold off?

4) Assuming the original plans that require the water fail at a later
date, will the access to the water continue?

5) Will irrigation in a dry land farming environment result in residual
pesticide, herbicide, and fertilizer contamination of the aquifer at a
rate much faster than what is current?

Again thanks;

John

The mayor has scheduled a special council meeting for Monday, April 28th
at 7:00 pm in Council Chambers. Mark Cook, City of Moscow Public Works
Director, will be updating the council on the status of negotiations
with representatives of Naylor Farms. The Mayor has stated that there
will be time for questions and public input.

If you are unable to attend, please watch the proceedings on cable
channel 13. Lastly, if you questions, feel free to forward them to me or
any other council member.

Jon Kimberling

Moscow City Council
