Important Message to Parents and Students

 

The Moscow Police Department is asking for anyone's help in locating a
possible suspect in an attempted child enticement incident that took
place yesterday, 12-15-09 at about 3:45 p.m. near the corner of 6th
street and Mountain View Road.

 

The suspect is described as a white male, mid 30's, 5'6", thin build,
mustache, with reddish hair and he was reportedly driving a newer brown
Dodge Ram truck with dirt on the sides.  The victim reported that the
individual tried to get him to get into the truck, and the victim ran
away.  The victim is reported as a 12 year old male.

 

The victim also stated that many cars passed him on Mountain View Road
as he was running in a northerly direction from 6th street on the side
walk on the east side of the street.  If anyone witnessed the incident
or has any information, please contact the Moscow police Department at
883-7051.

 

As always, we strongly recommend that students walk in groups when
moving about the community and also do not engage in conversations with
strangers who attempt to make contact.
