Dear Parents, 

I would like to thank all of the people who have been involved in the
MJHS shirt project.  Many of our teachers, support staff, and students
have dedicated lots of time to make it successful.  I would especially
like to thank Susan Mahoney for her work.  Once the shirts are here, she
will need assistance sorting and organizing the orders for delivery.
Please contact her if you can help.  

In the meantime, you can now order shirts as Susan reports in the
following email.  We have also posted the Order Form on the MJHS
website.  Please go to the following link to get the order form.  You
can fill it out and bring it to the office with your payment.  If you
take care of it right away, you can also mail it to us care of me.
Students will also be bringing order forms home soon.  The deadline to
get your order to the office is November 25.

We had 52 students enter designs for this year's MJHS t-shirt logo
contest. The staff voted on the designs and narrowed it down to 7
finalists. The students voted this week and selected the winning design
by 7th grade student Mijken McCurry. You can now order these collector
t-shirts and sweatshirts! Your student should be coming home with an
order form later this week. You can also pick up a form in the main
office. Unfortunately our list serve won't accept attachments, but if
you want to get your order in right away, I can also send you the form
via email if you have access to Microsoft Publisher. Just send me a
private email (not to the whole list serve). Orders will be accepted up
until just before Thanksgiving break. The shirts will be ready the week
before winter break. They make great holiday gifts.

The t-shirts are 100% cotton and are available in short and long sleeve.

The sweatshirts are hooded pullovers and are a poly/cotton blend. You
can order red shirts with black lettering, or white shirts with red
lettering, in adult sizes SM - 2XL. The prices this year are $15 for a
short sleeve shirt, $18 for a long sleeve shirt, and $30 for a hooded
sweatshirt.

This t-shirt sale is the main fundraiser for the parent group. Profits
from t-shirts sales in recent years have been used to purchase student
reader boards for the cafeteria and main hallway, new curtains for the
stage in the multi-purpose room, and a makeover of the staff lounge.
