May 2008                    SCHOOL MEAL INFORMATION FOR THE BULLITEN


 

Dear MJHS Students and Parents:

 

The end of the school year is quickly approaching and we need to close
out meal accounts.  If studensts have unpaid charges, we ask that they
be paid immediately.  No charging will be allowed after May 16, 2008.
Parents of junior high and high school students can see up-to-date meal
balances on PowerSchool.  Click on the "dollar sign" at the top left of
the first screen.   

 

Any credits or charges left on your meal account at the end of the
school year will be automatically carried over to the next school year.
If you are in ninth grade, credits will be transferred to your account
at Moscow High School.  If you are leaving the district, please let the
Student Nutrition Staff know and they will begin the process for a
refund. Refunds will be mailed to your home address.

 

If your family qualifies for Free or Reduced Price meal benefits, you
can begin next school year at the same price until the new application
is processed; (the grace period ends October 1, 2008).  We will send out
new applications at the beginning of the school year.  This helpful
program is based on household size and monthly income.  The Free and
Reduced Price meal program is an important source of funds for
educational programs as well as nutrition programs.  We urge you to
apply.
