Bi-Weekly Principal's Letter
November 13, 2006
Dear Parents,
Our first quarter has ended, and we are rapidly approaching the
Thanksgiving break. Report Cards should have arrived at your door, and
hopefully your son or daughter has had a successful first quarter.
Along with the Report Card, you also received a "Cub Communicator", and
fall ISAT results. If you have any questions about the ISAT results,
please contact one of the counselors at MJHS.
Our fall "All-School Dance" was held this past Friday night, and we
would like to thank all of the parents who spent their evening
chaperoning this event. Over 200 students attended, and they had a
great time. Events such as this would not be possible without the help
of our parent chaperones. Thank you!
This letter will be shorter than usual, as the Cub Communicator that was
just delivered has additional timely information that you need. This
letter will include our all-school calendar of events as follows:

Our school Canned Food Drive is taking place this week.
Classrooms are competing with each other to bring as many canned goods
as possible for our local community. The needs are great this year, and
the foods needed the most are; boxed macaroni & cheese, hamburger
helpers, canned fruit and vegetables, soups, peanut butter, tuna fish,
pasta and rice. Items including toothpaste, toothbrushes, and other
personal items are also welcome. Please make sure there are no glass
containers. Last year, we donated over 1000 pounds of food to the local
food bank, and we are hoping to break our own record this year. Please
consider sending some canned goods to school this week. Our Student
Council, under the direction of Kevin Hill is in charge of this
community service event.
MJHS is an incredible school. This past week we held our
fall activities assembly; we recognized over 300 students who
participated in all kinds of school sponsored activities, and our Wind
Ensemble and MJHS choirs performed a fantastic tribute to our Veterans.
It was a great time to reflect and celebrate the successes of our kids.
Mr. Hill and I spent a few minutes talking to the student body about
their first quarter, and we made sure they knew that the staff at MJHS
will do anything to help them be successful. We also let them know that
they will need to study and do their homework in order to learn as much
as possible. We focused on caring for each other and helping others
when needed. It is our goal to ensure that each student has a positive
experience at MJHS. We would like to thank all parents for all of the
help that has been given to our students so far this school year. Have
a very happy Thanksgiving.
Sincerely,
Dale Kleinert, Principal
Moscow Junior High School
