The ID State Ed. Board is proposing major changes to the Jr. High and
High School curriculum requirements, particularly in the areas of math
and science. These changes, if adopted, will result in curriculum
changes all the way down to the 6th grade. If adopted, all children
currently in grades 5 or under will be held accountable to these new
standards.

There is a hearing on the proposed changes Tuesday evening (Oct. 18th)
at 6:30 PM in the Williams Conference Center of Lewis-Clark State
College (500 8th Ave, Lewiston). Concerned parents are encouraged to
attend this meeting. To help facilitate this, the Jr. High and HS parent
groups are having an informal carpool to the hearing.

If you want to attend the hearing, and wish to carpool with other
parents, please meet in the Jr. High parking lot, in front of the main
entrance at 5:30PM on Tuesday. There are no pre-arranged drivers, just
group together as you wish to drive down.
