The office has been a very busy place this week. It feels like we've
already started, but we're still missing the kids in their classes.
Many activities have started, students and parents have been in to buy
yearbooks and activity cards, and new students have been registering
every day this week. The Student Leadership groups have also been at
school decorating the hallways under the direction of our new Assistant
Principal, Kevin Hill.

I hope you have the chance to meet Kevin in the near future. He brings
a wealth of ideas and energy that will be an incredible addition to
MJHS. Kevin is from Montana and has teaching and administrative
experience in Montana and California. I'm sure you will enjoy his
leadership style.

If you are new to Moscow and haven't registered for school yet, please
call the office (882-3577) to set up an appointment to do so as soon as
possible. The office will be open on August 29-30 from 1:00-3:30 p.m.,
for any school fees, including school lunch, Yearbook, and Activity
Cards.

School year office hours - The office is open and phones (882-3577) are
answered from 7:30 a.m., - 4:00 p.m., each school day. The attendance
line (892-1177) is available 24 hours a day for messages regarding
attendance. Please call the office as soon as possible when you know
your child will be absent.

Back to School Night
Please plan to attend our annual "Back to School Night". This event
will be on September, 8th, beginning in the Fieldhouse at 7:00 p.m. You
will have the chance to go to each of your child's classes and meet the
teachers. Students will be bringing home more information and their
schedules on Wednesday, September 7.

School Photos
School photos will be taken on Friday, September 9. Students will be
bringing home more information on Wednesday, September 7. If your child
is not in school that day, a photo make-up day will take place in early
