[RPPTL Liability Insurance]

Folks,

After an historically muted, yet still enjoyable, Masters (in November??)
weekend, I hope everyone's week is getting off to a great start.  And as we
all stare at our calendars' looming end of year deadlines and holiday
preparations, I just wanted to give everyone a brief update on the
Insurance & Surety Committee's Winter 2020-21 CLE and Meeting schedule.

First, there will not be a meeting today at noon.  In its place, and two
weeks from Thursday, on *December 3, 2020, at 3:00 p.m.*, we will be
hosting a joint, Live and Zoom meeting and CLE with the Construction Law
Committee at the next RPPTL Section Executive Council Meeting.  Our speaker
for that meeting will be *Adam Bild*, and his presentation is titled:
*"Cautionary
Tales in Insurance Claims: Insurers and Their Agents."  *The EC Meeting is
taking place at the *Disney Yacht Club Resort* in the greater Orlando
area.  And we are slated to be in the *Newport Salon A & B* rooms.  I've
also attached the Brochure and Schedule for that meeting.  For those that
will be in the area and are interested in attending our meeting in-person,
please feel free to stop by and join us.  Or, if you are not currently
planning on attending the upcoming EC Meeting, due to Covid or to work
logistics, please feel free to join us via Zoom.  The link for the Zoom
meeting will be going out closer to the presentation date. While I will be
attending the meeting in-person to help make sure everything runs smoothly,
I want to be clear that no one is obligated to attend in person, so please
feel free to join us via Zoom.

Next, please note that we are also not planning on convening our monthly
meetings for the months of December 2020 and January 2021.  Historically,
these months have been the most difficult to secure CLE speakers and often
the most lightly attended.  Additionally, we've also come across conflicts
with National Holidays on the third Monday of January (and February for
that matter).  So, in their place, we are planning on convening a meeting
and CLE at the next EC Meeting at the *Hammock Beach Resort in Palm Coast,
FL, on February 4 or 5, 2021*.  We are currently planning on having Charles
Comiskey present (and he has been a Committee-favorite speaker for us on
multiple occasions in the past), and we'll send over more details on that
presentation once we are a bit closer to that date. After that EC Meeting,
we are looking at having a speaker on our *February 22, 2021 *meeting, but
please note that is the 4th Monday of the month, which is due again to a
National Holiday.  After that, and starting in March, we are planning to
get back to our regularly scheduled meetings on the 3rd Monday of the
month.

I hope each of you have a Happy Thanksgiving next week.  And I also hope to
get to see many of you at the EC Meeting in December, whether it be
in-person or virtually.
