[Liability Insurance] CLC/ISC Joint Special Meeting - November 8, 2019 - Miami EC Meeting - Discussion re CLC Legislative Initiatives and Submitted and Potential Insurance Legislation

Folks,


In addition to our regularly scheduled meeting on Monday, November 18, the
Insurance and Surety Committee will be having a special joint meeting with
the CLC *tomorrow, November 8, 2019 at 3:30 p.m.*  The agenda for that
meeting is attached.  The meeting will include a discussion of the CLC’s
draft lien law bill and its status as well as two bills recently introduced
in the legislature relating to construction defects and Chapter 558 (HB
295) and regarding recovery of attorney’s fees on first party property
claims under Section 624.155 (HB 359).  If there is time, there may also be
a discussion of a draft bill revising the attorneys’ fees provision for
first-party property claims under Section 627.428.
