Good afternoon everyone. Attached is the agenda for our upcoming committee meeting to be held on December 4, 2020 at Disney's Yacht Club from 3:00pm - 4:30pm. We are having a joint meeting in conjunction with the Problem Study Committee which is hosting a CLE seminar on Emotional Support Animals and Leases Under the New Legislation being presented by JoAnn Burnett of Becker & Poliakoff.
The committee meeting will be held in person and will also be available via Zoom for your convenience. If you are planning to attend in person, please let me know by emailing me at brenda at ezellfirmpa.com<mailto:brenda at ezellfirmpa.com> (PLEASE DO NOT RESPOND TO THIS LISTSERV MESSAGE AS IT GOES TO EVERYONE) so that we can have a general idea of how many will be present for logistical purposes.
Also attached, you will find redlined drafts of the Florida Supreme Court leases for both single family/duplex and apartment/multifamily rentals. The redlines are comprehensive changes from the original 2009 version that is still available for download on the Florida Supreme Court website, and reflect changes that have been vetted by our committee, the Condo-Planned Development Committee, as well as the Florida Realtors and the Housing Umbrella Group (HUG).
Given the number of revisions since this started, we would like to provide the Leasing Committee members with the final opportunity to review and comment on these changes before the meeting on December 4th since this discussion may be more involved than we have time for during the joint committee meeting.
Therefore, we have scheduled a Zoom meeting specifically and only for discussion of the revised lease forms to get any final committee concerns vetted before the Round Table Agenda at the Disney meeting. The meeting will be held on December 1, 2020 at 2pm via Zoom. A link to the Zoom meeting room will be distributed the day prior to the meeting. Please review the revisions and be prepared to discuss any concerns at that time as it will be our final opportunity to discuss this matter.
One a final note, we started this project 2 years ago in December, 2018 and I had no idea how many stakeholders would weigh in on this and how many voluminous the revisions would be. I would like to thank the following subcommittee members for all of their hard work and dedication to this project:
