[RPPTL LandTen] Commercial Lease Witnessing

Dear Landlord Tenant Committee Members:

Attached is a proposal for our review and input regarding commercial lease witnessing.  Also attached are some comments provided by the Real Property Problem Study Committee.

There has been a request to incorporate this proposed amendment into the RON and e-wills legislation during this session.  It raises concerns about our Section position requiring live witnesses for certain documents and certainly needs some work, but we have been asked to provide substantive feedback.

So please advise by close of business Friday of any thoughts you have for or against this proposal so we can revert to the Section’s legislative committee accordingly.
