[RPPTL LandTen] New owner via tax deed

To clarify, I realize 197.572 gives possession to the new owner of tax deed after issuance, but I guess my real question is what to do with the possessions to avoid any potential claim, when no one is available to refuse a demand for possession but items are presently in the dwelling (presumably the writ of assistance is not available due to the lack of a refused demand, but items remain).

Any thoughts from those with tax deeds and personal property remaining??

Thank you.

Subject: New owner via tax deed

Dear list mates,

Individual received tax deed signed and filed by Clerk about 3 weeks ago.

Home has items in it as though someone may have been (or be) occupying.

83.59 seems to control BUT no way to know if tenant surrendered possession, or if tenant notified prior landlord/owner in writing of an intended absence.

Any suggestions on next steps such as how to get a writ of possession ( to avoid risk person might come back claiming rent paid and notification to prior owner landlord)? Anyone have possession issues after tax deed?

Thank you.
