It seems the need to encourage people to attend the Leadership Academy is no longer necessary, I got this from Mark Kimsey... the unfortunate bearer of bad news. 

Dear All, 

Due to a lack of registrations, the national SAF leadership had to cancel the Leadership Academy in Coeur d'Alene.  They needed at least 40 to break even, and as of 2 days ago they only had 9.  Louise Murgia told me that they still have a contract with the CDA Resort, so they will probably try again soon.

This is truly a disappointment with such an opportunity so close, surely a sign of the economic downturn and not a lack of interest on the behalf of foresters in general.

That said, I believe that we should attempt to provide those individuals that were planning on attending some opportunity to enhance their leadership development skills... any ideas?
