IESAF Members,
It is time to get registered for the 2005 SAF Tri-Society Annual
Meeting. The 2005 meeting is scheduled for April 13-15 in
Lewiston, Idaho, and includes the Oregon, Washington State
and Inland Empire societies. In keeping with the bicentennial of
the Lewis and Clark Expedition, the theme of the meeting is
Corps of Discovery: Foresters Walking in the Footsteps of
Lewis and Clark. The program will focus on three major
subjects of interest to Northwest foresters: forest history, fire
and the Healthy Forests Restoration Act. The program will
offer information regarding late-breaking policies, debate of
current issues, and analysis of historical events related to
forests. Four field trips will allow participants to see local forest
management practices, visit state- of-the-art sawmills, follow in
the footsteps of Lewis and Clark or enjoy a thrilling historical jet
boat ride up the Snake River into the Hells Canyon.
Special Note – Early reduced rate rooms at the Red
Lion Lewiston ends March 15th. After March
15th, room rates will be at the Red Lion’s regular
prices on a space available basis. We encourage
you to stay at the Red Lion as it will help us meet
our room obligations to ensure free meeting room
space.
