Palouse Chapter-

Many of you may already be aware of the Habitat for Humanity home currently
underway in the new Miller Ridge Subdivision on the south side of Moscow.
One of our chapter members, Charlie McKetta, is helping the project by
collecting donations to purchase the needed lumber.  Of course, as with most
construction projects, he was given a very short timeline to get this
accomplished.  Some of you may remember from our spring chapter meetings
that we had discussed making a donation to Habitat for Humanity and that
this idea was well supported by those in attendance.  I am proposing that
the Palouse Chapter of SAF pledge $300.00 towards the purchase of lumber for
the Habitat for Humanity project in Moscow.  Since we don't have time to
bring this to vote at our next chapter meeting, I am asking that you please
respond to this email or give me a call with your comments (aye or nay) by 5
pm on Monday, August 28th.  I believe this will lend some needed publicity
to the chapter in our local community.  I will have additional information
on how the chapter or individuals can become more involved in this project
at our September 5th meeting.    Thanks.
