Mr. Barrett joined Nelson Architectural Engineers over 14 years ago bringing with him a structural engineering design background.  Veneer analysis has been an integral part of the forensic evaluations performed by Mr. Barrett.

Projects include veneer analysis of single and multi-family residences, commercial buildings, hospitals, and mid-rise mixed‑use condominium buildings.  These projects involved forensic analysis, remedial design, and on-site review of remedial applications during and after construction.

Mr. Barrett has contributed to the ASTM C-11 committee, the committee that is responsible for standards governing the application of stucco, and is actively involved with the Florida Concrete and Products Association and the Florida Lath and Plaster Bureau.
