Amen.

There’s some interesting internet scuttlebutt out there about how it happened, or may have happened. But it’s the internet, so who knows. We just have to live with the consequences.

The weird thing was that I was doing nothing differently from what I’ve probably done hundreds of times in Catina, and it just randomly won’t work.

So far, they’ve fixed one document, but claim that the other – that I originated from within Catina, was actually the old format and that’s why it doesn’t work…. (it was a construction change directive so probably doesn’t get too much use).

Hi Bruce.  Catina is better named “Katrina” and is an unmitigated disaster.  We use AIA software regularly and have had to procure extended licenses from AIA IT to use the “tired old” but functional pre-Katrina software upgrade. It is truly unbelievable that AIA could roll out Katrina without an extensive Beta process where all of its faults and glitches would have been apparent.  The dangers of a monopoly I guess.

Good morning –

The AIA’s upper awesome and non-glitchy, “new and improved” app, that I use all the time, has, over the last two days, become unable to finalize documents. This is even more awesome when clients need a finalized document today, right now, maybe yesterday. The app says the document is successfully imported, then glitches out when I tell it to finalize it.

Is anyone else having this issue right now? I’ve been emailing with AIA’s tech support but no help yet.

Apologies for the snark, it’s probably better than the strings of profanities I have been keeping to myself.
