[CLC-Discussion] Fannie Mae Special Warranty Deed - Liability for Defects

I am providing pro bono assistance to a contractor client that is attempting to fix/remodel a wounded Army veteran’s home in Jupiter.  He purchased it about a year ago from Fannie Mae after foreclosure and the house has now been cited by the Jupiter building department for building code violations (frame house, prior owner remodeled, covered exterior with Hardy board and no sheeting).  Need some real estate law consulting—I will do all the heavy lifting but would appreciate some assistance from subject matter expert in real estate law and Fannie Mae liability.
