<p class="MsoNormal"><span style="font-size:12.0pt">Keep in mind that when making a claim under the policy the insured must show a financial loss or a monetary claim being made the property. I had a situation a few years ago where the underwriter missed a
recorded sewer agreement that when a homeowner connects to the city sewer system, they had to pay $30,000. My client had a septic tank and when he wanted to add a bathroom, the city obligated him to connect to the sewer and cough up $30K. We submitted a claim
to the underwriter, and they paid, because my client showed he was going to suffer a loss.<o:p></o:p></span></p>
