<div dir="ltr">Hi Carol, <div>You should be able to order that research from the title company. I manage right of way and other city-owned property, and we run into this issue fairly often. If trying to answer the question myself, I look for overlaps/gaps between plats, or small areas "orphaned" from a larger parcel on opposite sides of a right of way dedication, and then start looking at transfers related to the pre-existing parcel. These little pieces of land get dropped off legal descriptions in subsequent transfers. A quiet title action could also resolve the issue, if an owner cannot be identified. </div><div><br clear="all"><div><div dir="ltr" class="gmail_signature" data-smartmail="gmail_signature"><div dir="ltr"><div dir="ltr"><div dir="ltr"><div dir="ltr"><div dir="ltr"><div dir="ltr"><div dir="ltr"><div dir="ltr"><div dir="ltr"><div dir="ltr" style="font-family:arial;font-size:small"><div style="color:rgb(0,0,0)">Teague Pasco</div><div style="color:rgb(0,0,0)">1214 S. 68th St.</div><div style="color:rgb(0,0,0)">Tacoma WA 98408</div><div style="color:rgb(0,0,0)"><a href="mailto:pasco@pasco-law.com" style="color:rgb(17,85,204)" target="_blank">pasco@pasco-law.com</a></div><div style="color:rgb(0,0,0)">Cell <a href="tel:360-643-3990" value="+19133840034" target="_blank">360-643-3990</a> <br></div><div dir="ltr" style="color:rgb(0,0,0)"><br></div></div></div></div></div></div></div></div></div></div></div></div></div><br></div></div><br><div class="gmail_quote"><div dir="ltr" class="gmail_attr">On Wed, Sep 16, 2020 at 2:31 PM Carol Li <<a href="mailto:li.carol1004@gmail.com">li.carol1004@gmail.com</a>> wrote:<br></div><blockquote class="gmail_quote" style="margin:0px 0px 0px 0.8ex;border-left:1px solid rgb(204,204,204);padding-left:1ex"><div dir="ltr">Between PC's land and the land next to PC, there is a very slim piece landmarked as ownership "Unknown".on the title report and the map The neighbor has been using this "Unknown" land as parking space for 3 years.
