<p>I'm not sure a deed is required, because it's not the trustee in
title, it's the trust. Can you record a notice of resignation of
trustee and appointment of successor trustee?</p>
<p>Someone please correct me if I'm wrong because I recently went
through this on some family trust property. My mother was the
trustee under a will from 1994, and with her passing my brother
and I are now successor trustees. Kitsap County is refusing to
change the billing name from my mother as trustee, but is willing
to send duplicate tax statements. I figure that's good enough
given the fact that when we list the title company is recognizing
my brother and I as trustees. And the owner remains the
same--Trust under will of . . ..<br>

<p class="MsoNormal">This should be easy. Trustee for
irrevocable trust wants out, and successor is found, but since
this is the second successor, she is not named in the trust.
Former trustee wants his name off deeds for real property
owned by the trust. Looking around, it seems that a SWD is
called for, but what does one say is the “good and valuable
consideration”? I’m tempted to say, “relief of the duties as
trustee” but wouldn’t want to make things weird. <o:p></o:p></p>
