It’s a statutory lien and has priority just like RE taxes it’s has priority over deeds of trusts as well.<br>

<p class="MsoNormal">I have a client who is interested in buying a property at auction brought by a city for delinquent sewer charges.<o:p></o:p></p>
<p class="MsoNormal">DSHS has a lien on the property, but DSHS is a named defendant in the suit by the city and language in the city’s suit and judgment says that it asserts primary position over all other liens.<o:p></o:p></p>
<p class="MsoNormal">The DSHS lien was filed on 1/24/17 and the city lien was filed on 2/28/28, so the DSHS is first in time, which is a basis for priority, right??<o:p></o:p></p>
