And her parents and grandparents predeceased her. So, her heirs are the surviving descendants of her great grandparents by representation. There are 50 of them, most of whom I have found. Two of the heirs are minors (ages 7 and 10) and live with their father out of state. This is a $200k estate and each minor heir’s share is de minimis - a few hundred dollars. Do I really have to get a GAL appointed for them? If so, does anyone have any suggestions for minimizing this expense?
