Things may have changed or differ from loan to loan, but a few years ago I quieted title in a mobile home against WAMU lien on title. I ended up dealing with NewRez, LLC d/b/a Shellpoint Mortgage Servicing as attorney-in-fact for JP Morgan Chase Bank, who stipulated to an order quieting title in my client.

Agreed. Chase took over all of WAMU holdings and acquisitions. Mr. Cooper is just a servicing company and does not hold the Note for any mortgages.  It is likely a mortgage-backed security trust as the holder of the Note given the timeline. But Chase would be who would sign a reconveyance to clear title (more than likely).

I believe its JP Morgan Chase. There was something years ago recorded in the King County public records.

I'm doing a quiet title case to clear up an old Wash. Mutual deed of trust from the early 2000's. Does anybody know who the successor to Wash. Mutual is? I think it's Mr. Cooper but any insights would be much appreciated.
