Hi Paul,
Live in caregiving can be fraught with problems, the least of which is drafting the contract. Most caregivers want to be paid in cash and do not want to have anything withheld from there payment for social security and income taxes for starters. That is a slippery slope as you can only pay an independent contractor up to $600 cash without deductions. In most cases, it is easiest to hire caregivers through a home health care provider who you can pay direct and let them take care of the taxes, etc.
Happy to discuss. I work remotely these days, so you can try my mobile phone after 10:30 tomorrow. 360-239-9524

Subject: [WSBARP] Live-in Caregivers
Hi all,
If anyone on this list has experience with how best to document housing arrangements for live-in caregivers provided as a reasonable accommodation in adult family homes/disabled housing, I'd appreciate a few minutes of your guidance. Please let me know!
Sincerely,
-Paul Okner
