Colleagues,



PC contacted me about a timber trespass claim against a contractor building on a lot adjacent to her property after four trees were removed without her permission.  There are additional facts (i.e., the contractor previously removed a fence without permission, apparently has a history of this sort of thing, etc.).  PC wants to take immediate action (i.e., obtain a stop work order for the ongoing project) and wants damages for the trees that were removed without her permission.  She also wants compensation for the fence, trees, mental suffering, etc.  PC filed a police report, contacted the permit compliance office, contacted the prosecuting attorney’s office, etc.  Contractor’s attorney is asking for a “sit down” to discuss a potential resolution.



I don’t have the capacity at the moment to take something like this on.  I’d like to refer her.  Location is Tacoma.
