[WSBARP] probate vs. ancillary probate

In my experience, WA Courts will exercise original jurisdiction and allow a probate (whether original or ancillary - they don't really distinguish) when there is property in the state requiring administration.

Hello List mates,

Decedent died 2016  in Idaho and was a resident of Ada County at death.  The only thing that needs to be probated is Decedent's property in Whitman County.

Ok to open the probate in Whitman County under RCW 11.96A.050 (3)(b)(i) and avoid an ancillary probate?
