[WSBARP] anonymous ownership

Craig,

Here is a list of "anonymous" LLC jurisdictions, that is, states in which
the identity of members and managers is not required to be stated, either in
the formation filing or in an annual report type of filing:

AL

IN

KY

MI

NM

OH

RI

I think GA and possibly MD should also be on the list.

That list is based on listserv posts last year on web site of the ABA
Business Law Section Committee on LLCs, Partnerships and Unincorporated
Entities, by Committee members who practice in those jurisdictions. I'm not
sure why DE and WY were not mentioned, as many of the Committee members
practice there.

I personally kind of like NM, where I also practice and have formed a few
identity-protection LLCs - also it is cheap and fairly low profile.

Subject: [WSBARP] anonymous ownership

Listmates, Second question for this Friday. Client owns property used for
housing convicts. For obvious reasons they wish the property ownership to
remain anonymous. I was thinking a Washington LLC owned and governed by a
Delaware, Wyoming or Nevada LLC. Anyone have any other options? Thanks,
Craig
