Hi Chris,

I've done this a couple times in King County, the last time less than a year ago (though I know that may not be a controlling factor based on your recording gatekeeper).

I used -211(6)

And then on the REETA, reason for exception, indicated: "Mere change in Identity or Form (transfer between spouses to reflect legal name change, no change in pro rata ownership interests").

Subject: [WSBARP] Name change

We have a married couple.  Wife did a legal name change, we have the docs on that.  She wanted us to record a QCD putting title into her new name (so QCD was husband + wife's former name conveying to husband + wife's new name).  We can't seem to find a clear WAC on the REET that covers this. We tried 211 but it was rejected.  Thoughts on using 215?
